FURLA GINZA STORE
Tokyo
concept : Ichigo – Ichie (treasure every moment)
In autumn 2015, Emmanuelle has created an installation for a renewal open of Italian Premium Lifestyle Brand FURLA at Ginza store. The installation has filled five windows facing Ginza Chuo-Dori, the luxurious shopping street in Tokyo.
Following the fall-winter collection 2015 at Zojoji in Tokyo, the important keyword maintained in FURLA installation project is "Ichigo-Ichie" – treasure every encounter, for it will never recur. Emmanuelle applied her signature use of colors into the windows as moving rings, titled "en" (meaning "chance encounter").
The moving rings (which is also pronounced as "en"), metaphorically express the idea that every encounters bring connections, taking one to the next encounters.
100 colors and gold rings slowly rotate around the spot as if the time progresses slowly in the window. They overlap and seem to connect with each other as every time they move. Five windows begins the story from the windows that is filled with the concept color of the brand - gold rings, then gradually mix with colors in the next windows until the whole window is filled with 100 colors.
